KCA University will this Friday, 22nd July 2022 be launching two new PhD programmes : PhD in Finance & PhD in Business Management, at a milestone event from the Main Campus in Ruaraka Nairobi .The Cabinet Secretary for Education, Prof George Magoha, PhD., will preside over the launch ceremony to be attended by other dignitaries and the University community.
KCA University's School of Business is hosting virtual Leadership in Supply Chain Management Dialogues (LSCMDs) on Tuesday, 04th July 2023, from 12.30pm to 2.00pm. The discussion will focus on the topic of "Impactful Supply Chains" and will feature CM Maryanne Karania FCIPS, MKISM as the mentor.
The Actuarial Students' Association of Kenya (ASSK) will be hosting the Product Development Competition (PDC) for the actuarial science club on the 6th and 7th of July 2023. The event will take place at KCA University. During the competition, actuarial students from various universities in Kenya, including JKUAT, Maseno, Kisii, Moi, Machakos, Meru, Karatina, and Daystar University, among others, will come together to develop and model actuarial products based on a given theme.
The PDC is an annual event organized by ASSK, attracting over 200 actuarial students. It provides a platform for students to showcase their skills and knowledge in actuarial science. The competition's themes in previous years have focused on topics such as the Importance of Actuarial Science in Finance and Investment, Exploring Opportunities through Research and Innovation, and Insuretech & Fintech.
Each university participating in the PDC can present two teams, with a maximum of four members per team, to compete at the regional level. Successful teams from the regionals will proceed to the national level. The presentations are evaluated by qualified actuaries, insurance professionals, and experienced academicians in the actuarial field.
Participation in the PDC offers numerous opportunities for students to network with industry professionals and potentially receive offers from them. It is an exciting event that brings together aspiring actuaries and industry experts.
