Prof. Nicholas Kibiwott Letting’ Ph.D., EBS, HSC, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Secretary of the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examination Board (KASNEB). Dr. Letting holds a Ph.D from the University of Nairobi’s School of Business, majoring in Strategic Management, Leadership and Governance. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree majoring in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and International Business from the University of Nairobi. His Bachelor’s degree is Bachelor of Commerce in marketing from the same University. Dr. Letting is a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a qualified Certified Public Secretary (CPS) and Certified Investment and Financial Analyst. He has over 24 years work experience having held senior Strategic Leadership and Management, Human Resources Management and Finance management positions in British American Tobacco Kenya Ltd and the Kenya Institute of Management. He has been the Vice-Chancellor/CEO heading finance, administrative and academic functions of from 2011 to 2019 at the Management University of Africa (MUA). Dr. Letting is a Council Member of ICPAK, ICIFA, ICS and Honorary Treasurer of the Association of the Professional Societies of East Africa (APSEA) from 2019 to date. He is a volunteer in the Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) Lower Eastern Region.
Prof. Letting’ is a Fellow of ICPAK, KIM, ICS AND ICIFA. He is also a non-executive director at Optiven Limited, a leading real estate developer in Kenya. He is a Certified Corporate Governance Trainer (trained by IFC); Governance Auditor (ICSK); Academic Advisor, Supervisor and External Examiner; Author; Strategic Thinker and Planner; Executive Coach; Investment Advisor; Excellent Networker and Effective Communicator. He has undertaken consultancies with IGAD, KLB, ICPAK, ICSK, UNDP, Parthenon – EY (Ernst & Young), India and Kenya’s Ministries of Education and The National Treasury and Planning. Dr. Letting has published widely in the area of management, leadership and governance. He has travelled and presented papers in conferences and workshops in many countries among them the USA, the UK, Australia, India, Belgium, Brazil, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Thailand, Egypt, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda, The Netherlands, Tanzania, South Africa, and South Sudan. Dr. Nicholas Kibiwott Letting’ is a member of the KCA University School of Business Advisory Council.
